Red Sox Vs. Marlins Lineup: J.D. Martinez Returns To Lineup For Boston

The Boston Red Sox have responded from their season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Rays by reeling off four straight victories and they’ll look to make it five Tuesday when they take on the Miami Marlins.

Boston will send ace Chris Sale to the mound in search of his first win of the 2018 campaign. The hard-throwing left-hander tossed six shutout innings on Opening Day in Tampa Bay but was saddled with a no-decision after the Sox’s bullpen gave up six runs in the eighth inning of an eventual 6-4 loss.

The Marlins will counter with 26-year-old righty Jose Urena. Urena had a forgettable season debut, as he was tagged for five runs in four innings during a loss to the Chicago Cubs.

With National League rules still in effect, manager Alex Cora has elected to re-insert J.D. Martinez into the lineup in right field, giving Mookie Betts his first night off of the season. Martinez will slide into the cleanup hole behind first baseman Hanley Ramirez, who went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday’s 7-3 Red Sox win.

Here are the lineups for Tuesday’s Red Sox vs. Marlins game:
