Roberto Luongo Robs David Pastrnak Of Game-Tying Goal With Pad Save

For a moment, it looked as though the Boston Bruins were about to mount yet another wild comeback.

As the Bruins trailed the Florida Panthers 3-2 in the final minutes of their tilt at TD Garden, David Pastrnak came within inches of leveling the score. But Roberto Luongo — who entered the game late in the third period following starting goaltender James Reimer’s injury — had other plans, robbing Pastrnak with a sprawling pad save.

The impressive denial lifted Florida to a 4-2 win, which squashed Boston’s dreams of earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
