Tom Brady often is labeled a hero by the ever-passionate sports fans in New England.

But during his recent charity trip to Qatar, the New England Patriots quarterback took some time to visit the real heroes: members of the United States Military.

Brady took to Instagram on Saturday to share an epic photo of himself and members of the U.S. Army and Air Force. One of Brady’s sons also made the trip to Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar.

“Thanks for having me @usairforce @usarmy,” Brady wrote in a caption. “It was my pleasure truly!

“I loved meeting you and seeing what commitment, dedication and sacrifice truly look like! ?”

Brady’s trip to Qatar, which also included some horsing around at what looks like a luxury hotel, is part of a charitable endeavor for Best Buddies International, according to MMQB’s Albert Breer. The 40-year-old is expected to return home Monday night.

The trip likely will cause Brady to miss Day 1 of the Patriots’ offseason program, which takes place Monday at Gillette Stadium.
