The Boston Red Sox needed a little life after a rough top half of the first inning, and Hanley Ramirez gave it to them.

David Price got knocked around in the opening frame, surrendering four runs, but Ramirez gave Boston a much-needed jolt, blasting a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning.

The designated hitter ripped a first-pitch cutter right over the plate into the Green Monster seats, hitting one of the advertisements that stands above the section.

It was Ramirez’s second home run of the season, as he also upped his average to a stellar .375 with the dinger.
