Is all this Kawhi Leonard-to-the Boston Celtics talk a bit far-fetched? Probably.

It might not be as crazy as you think, however.

Leonard’s bizarre relationship with the San Antonio Spurs has led to speculation that the All-Star forward could wind up on the trading black during the offseason. And should that happen, Yahoo Sports’ Chris Mannix believes the Celtics might be the team best positioned to pry Leonard from the only team he’s played for.

As Mannix explained during Wednesday’s episode of “First Things First” on FOX Sports 1, a package built around Jayson Tatum might be the most enticing San Antonio is likely to receive.

Moving on from Tatum, of course, wouldn’t be easy, as the 20-year-old forward has shown immense potential during his rookie season with the Celtics. But a player of Leonard’s caliber doesn’t come around often, and if Boston has a chance to acquire him, it probably should do whatever it takes.
