The Minnesota Wild need to win a game in Winnipeg to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, and they weren’t able to accomplish that in a 3-2 Game 1 loss to the Jets.
The Jets had the best home record in the NHL during the regular season, and they’re hoping this advantage will help them take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series. Winnipeg has not gone up 2-0 in a playoff series since the NHL returned to the city for the 2011-12 season.
