Bryce Harper will be a free agent after this season, and it has been speculated that the New York Yankees could be the team to land the star slugger.

If those rumors are even remotely true, it makes the Yankees’ Twitter activity Monday all the more confusing.

We’re sure you heard that the Washington Nationals star pulled off an incredible feat Monday when he blasted a home run while breaking his bat against the New York Mets. Well a little while later, New York star Aaron Judge cranked a round-tripper while keeping the lumber intact, prompting the Yankees to take an odd shot at Harper on Twitter.

Interesting.

We’re not really sure why the Yankees would feel the need to troll Harper, but in the age of edgy social media, we guess you have to take some chances.

While the troll job is curious, we’re sure if the Yankees offer Harper the enormous contract he is expected to receive this offseason, then the 25-year-old likely will be able to let this one slide.
