The Boston Bruins far exceeded expectations in the 2017-18 campaign, making their second-round exit at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning all the more difficult to swallow.

But because they did so well, expectations obviously are going to shift as they head into next season. Speaking with NESN’s Andy Brickley, Bruins president and alternate governor Cam Neely explained how those expectations will change before puck drop in October.
