BOSTON — J.R. Smith made a bush league play late in the fourth quarter Tuesday night with his team trailing.
Al Horford was airborne reaching for a lob pass from Marcus Smart in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals when the Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard pushed the Boston Celtics big man, sending him sliding past the floor seats.
The play caused a scuffle between the two teams, with Celtics guard Marcus Smart getting in Smith’s face before the officials broke them apart.
Smith was assessed a flagrant 1 foul, and Horford made both free throws en route to Boston’s 107-94 win.
