Feb 6, 2019

11:15 p.m.: Otto Porter isn’t the only player on his way out of the nation’s capital.

10:15 p.m.: Not long after parting ways with DeAndre Jordan, it looks like the Dallas Mavericks are moving on from another noteworthy name.

7:40 p.m.: The Wizards said they didn’t want to deal Bradley Beal or Otto Porter. Well…

3:40 p.m.: Perhaps things are warming up, as we’ve got a trade between the Heat and the Suns. Very hot!

1:25 p.m.: The latest news on Anthony Davis is no news, which is good news for the Celtics. #news

11:45 a.m.: Here’s a trade that potentially benefits both teams, as the Bucks and Pistons are swapping former lottery picks.

10:45 a.m.: The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor just published a trade deadline preview that isn’t short on sourced information.

One thing that stands out is a potential trade between the Grizzlies and Hornets. Here’s the deal those two are working on, per O’Connor.

Charlotte acquires: Marc Gasol
Memphis acquires: Bismack Biyombo, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, protected first-round pick

According to O’Connor, that’s not yet a done deal as there is some dispute over the protections of that draft pick. The Hornets seemingly would be pretty motivated to get a deal done, as adding a veteran big man like Gasol could really go a long way in helping them reach the playoffs in a relatively wide-open Eastern Conference.

9:30 a.m.: This report surfaced Tuesday, but it sounds like the Toronto Raptors could be busy at the deadline, and another franchise player might be on the block.

8:55 a.m.: In case you missed it, the 76ers and Clippers reportedly orchestrated a blockbuster deal early Wednesday morning that will give Philly a big four of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler and now Tobias Harris.

8:45 a.m. ET: The NBA’s version of “let’s make a deal” very much is underway.

The NBA trade deadline doesn’t pass until Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET, but there’s been no shortage of speculation and rumors ahead of the pivotal milestone in the league’s season.

Most notably, the talk surrounding New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis has dominated headlines after he requested a trade last week. Whether the Pelicans honor that request before the deadline remains to be seen, and you can bet the Los Angeles Lakers will do all they can to make sure Dell Demps and Co. do move him before 3 p.m. on Thursday.

But Davis is far from the only big name who could be on the move, which means we could be in a for a wild couple of days. We’ll have all the latest news and rumors here right up until Thursday’s deadline.
