The Boston Bruins were held scoreless against the Ottawa Senators in the first period Saturday, but had plenty of chances.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first twenty minutes at TD Garden, but the Bruins had the best chances. The B’s had a short-handed opportunity off of a Senators turnover and a different opportunity right in front of the Ottawa goalkeeper but were unable to finish either attempt.
