by

Mar 11, 2019

9:30 p.m.: The Jets bolster their defense with a player who’s made the Pro Bowl in all but one of his five NFL seasons.

7:25 p.m.: Tyrann Mathieu bet on himself last offseason when he signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans. The move paid off.

6:00 p.m.: It’s going to be strange to see Terrell Suggs don a jersey other than the Ravens in the upcoming season.

5:45 p.m.: The free-agent wide receiver market wasn’t overly strong this offseason, but one of the better options appears to be headed to Nashville.

5:35 p.m.: Terrell Suggs reportedly will be moving on from the Ravens after 16 seasons in Baltimore? Could a move out west be in store for the veteran linebacker?

4:45 p.m.: Last season was a trainwreck for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’ll reportedly now look to the Super Bowl LII MVP to fix their issue at quarterback.

4:35 p.m.: After spending 2018 with the Miami Dolphins, Frank Gore reportedly will be staying in the AFC East for his 15th NFL season.

4:25 p.m.: It looks like Sam Darnold will have a new weapon for the 2019 campaign.

3:26 p.m.: Here’s a little more on the reported news that Trey Flowers is on his way to Detroit.

3:22 p.m.: As expected, Trey Flowers is signing with a familiar face, but he’s not re-signing with the Patriots, and he’s also opting against Brian Flores and the Dolphins. Instead, the Patriots’ vaunted pass rusher reportedly is choosing Matt Patricia and the Detroit Lions.

We’re still waiting for the financial figures, but the assumption was Flowers would be in the neighborhood of $18 million per season, but that’s just speculation for now.

3:12 p.m.: Landon Collins is staying in the division, and he is going to get paid in a big way.

2:55 p.m.: If you’ve previously played for the New England Patriots, please step forward: The Detroit Lions want to sign you to a contract.

2:48 p.m.: Here’s a little more info on the Odell Beckham Jr. reports and speculation.

2:10 p.m.: Are the 49ers about to really blow this thing out of the water?

1:50 p.m.: Despite coming off an ACL injury, Kwon Alexander is getting a very nice payday to leave Tampa Bay for the San Francisco 49ers.

12:41 p.m.: Well. This is interesting regarding Odell Beckham Jr.

12:32 p.m.: Here’s a new team to consider in the Trey Flowers sweepstakes: the Buffalo Bills.

12:26 p.m.: Some smaller left tackle news.

12:09 p.m.: And the Oakland Raiders didn’t waste time finding themselves a new left tackle, as Trent Brown is heading west.

12 p.m.: Time to tamper.

10:57 a.m.: Malik Jackson goes from one solid defensive line to perhaps an even better unit.

10:37 a.m.: Malik Jackson, a casualty of the salary cap slashing in Jacksonville, looks like he’s on the verge of finding a new team.

9:55 a.m.: Trent Brown, as the highly effective left tackle for Tom Brady on a Super Bowl-winning team, is about to get paid in a big way.

Meanwhile, ESPN’s Dan Graziano cites multiple sources who believe Trey Flowers is in position to earn a “monster” deal that could be worth as much as $18 million annually.

9 a.m.: Sounds like DeSean Jackson is done in Tampa Bay.

8:29 a.m.: Imagine Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown back on the same team again … with Jon Gruden coaching them? It’s still a possibility, according to Ian Rapoport.

8:24 a.m.: As for another big-name Patriots free agent, it sounds like Trey Flowers will have a big decision on his hands with Detroit and Miami unsurprisingly in the mix given Matt Patricia and Brian Flores know him very well from their time in New England. Obviously, the Patriots are likely an option, too, even after reportedly agreeing to trade for Michael Bennett last week.

8:19 a.m.: It sounds like we won’t have to wait long to hear what’s in store for one of the Patriots’ biggest (literally) free agents, left tackle Trent Brown.

8:10 a.m.: We’re already off and running, as Danny Amendola is reportedly set to sign with the Detroit Lions.

There was talk about Amendola potentially returning to the Patriots, but the bidding apparently got too high for the Patriots’ desire.

8 a.m ET.: The NFL league year, which is when player movement can officially start, doesn’t begin until Wednesday. But thanks to the NFL’s tampering period, we’ll get a pretty good idea who’s heading where before pen touches paper.

The legal tampering period begins Monday at noon ET, allowing teams and free agents to (officially) talk contract, and as we’ve seen in years past, it usually means a flurry of news.

We’ll be on top of it all throughout the day, so check back here for all the latest news and rumors.
