The Boston Red Sox just couldn’t put much together against the New York Yankees on Friday, and it cost them the first game of the series in the Bronx.

But as Red Sox manager Alex Cora has been saying all along, the Yankees have themselves a really good baseball team this season.

“They’re a good team right now,,” he said when asked about the Yankees depth with several key players on the injured list, as seen on NESN postgame coverage. “… I know they don’t have their big guys, but what they have right now is good.”
