NBA Rumors: Carmelo Anthony Joins Trail Blazers On Non-Guaranteed Deal

Carmelo Anthony appears to have a new home.

Anthony reportedly has signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, a league source told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

He reportedly will join Portland on its upcoming road trip, per Wojnarowski.

Anthony, who hasn’t played since Nov. 2018, has struggled to find a landing spot for a little bit now. Theoretically, he last played for the Chicago Bulls after the team received the 35-year-old in a trade with the Houston Rockets in January, but Chicago made clear right away that they had acquired Anthony with the intention of waiving him. Anthony played just 10 games (staring in two) for the Rockets, but it was clear it wasn’t a good fit.

Will this be his second (or third, or fourth…) wind? Only time will tell.
