Relive Nathan Eovaldi’s Epic Performance On Anniversary Of 18-Inning Game

There was no World Series game played Monday, but the day marked a memorable anniversary for Major League Baseball.

Especially for Boston Red Sox fans.

On Oct. 26, 2018, in Game 3 of the World Series, Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi threw six epic innings of relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The game, as you may recall, needed 18 innings to be decided before the Red Sox were dealt a 3-2 loss after Eovaldi gave up a single earned run. The right-hander had five strikeouts in the phenomenal outing before the Red Sox won the World Series in five games.
