Brad Marchand is making a serious case for the NHL’s Hart Trophy, and further helped his case Thursday night.

The Boston Bruins winger made it 3-0 on the penalty kill over the Washington Capitals on Thursday night when he faked a pass to Patrice Bergeron and backhanded the puck to Ilya Samsonov.

The shorthanded goal marked the 30th (!) of his career, and how is tied with Bob Pulford for 22nd-most in NHL history.
