The best-of-seven will start Thursday
The Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics have a date set with the Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors.
The Celtics capped their tough road to the NBA Finals with Sunday’s Game 7 victory over the Miami Heat. The Eastern Conference finals series was Boston’s second seven-game series of the postseason, having done so against the Milwaukee Bucks after a sweep of the Brooklyn Nets. It marks the organization’s first NBA Finals appearance since 2010.
The Warriors advanced to their sixth finals in eight years with their Game 5 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. Golden State, due to having a better regular-season record, will have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals.
