Jaylen Brown showed up to Celtics Media Day on Tuesday with his typical energy, but a new look.
The ever-motivated Brown, whose summer wasn't entirely pleasant, made it clear he was fueled and locked in for Boston's NBA championship title defense. The 2024 Finals MVP made those remarks look a bit different than usual, as his burly beard was nowhere to be found Tuesday.
Brown, as he shared in a video posted to the NBA's X account, revealed he received a bunch of phone calls from people bemoaning his lighter facial hair. The trimming also prompted a slew of social media posts from Green Teamers.
There's seemingly a chance Celtics fans won't ever see Brown actually play a game without his beard this season. The three-time All-Star confirmed the beard "will be back," and Boston doesn't kick off its regular-season slate until Oct. 22.
