Sophia Jurksztowicz Taking Temporary Leave Of Absence From Bruins Broadcasts

The NESN team wishes Sophia well during this time

NESN issued the following statement Tuesday:

“Sophia Jurksztowicz is taking a temporary leave of absence to focus on personal matters. The NESN team wishes Sophia well during this time and looks forward to having her back on Bruins broadcasts when she is ready to return. In the interim, we ask that everyone respect Sophia’s privacy.”

Sophia Jurksztowicz released the following statement on social media:

“To my favorite nation (Bruins nation),

This summer I signed a contract extension with NESN and I couldn’t be happier to continue my journey as your Bruins host. But due to personal reasons, I’m going to have to delay my season start with NESN and the team. I don’t want anyone to worry, I WILL be okay, but right now I just need to take time away from work. I’ve received nothing but support from NESN with my circumstances and I seriously could not be more grateful to be working at NESN or more thankful for all the love from my teammates. It’s only preseason, but I miss being at the rink already and I’m going to miss interacting with all of you too. You’re the best fans in the world and you’re my home away from home. I can’t wait to be back. In the meantime, I’m always cheering.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

GO BRUINS.

-Sophia”
