If the Alex Bregman signing doesn’t feel real to you yet, these Red Sox videos and photos might do the trick.
Boston on Saturday made the Bregman signing official. The 30-year-old reportedly agreed to a three-year, $120 million deal Wednesday and will wear the No. 2 jersey.
The Red Sox rolled out a ton of Bregman content on social media. One video showed Bregman arriving for spring training in Fort Myers, Fla. Catching instructor and bullpen catcher Parker Guinn greeted the All-Star infielder in the Fenway South clubhouse. Bregman arrived at his locker and immediately put on his Red Sox hat.
Another video showed Bregman in full Red Sox spring training gear hitting publish on his own signing announcement. The two-time World Series champion was also shown greeting bench coach Ramón Vázquez.
Boston also posted an Instagram story of Bregman meeting up with manager Alex Cora, assistant general manager Eddie Romero and shortstop Trevor Story. Bregman was excited to get going and joked that all he needed to do was follow Story.
Fans will see more of Bregman on Saturday as he’s scheduled to take batting practice at 10:30 a.m. ET, per The Athletic’s Jen McCaffrey. Bregman and Red Sox leadership will hold a news conference at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
