The first few moments of FOX Sports’ Super Bowl LIX broadcast definitely got everyone’s attention.

Super Bowl broadcasts often give networks the chance to refresh the design of their scorebug. FOX took their chance to do so with a few blocks and barely any design to their new look for their lower-thirds.

Immediately, social media clearly voiced strong opinions on the new graphic.

@TomFornelli: “After giving Tom Brady $375 million, Fox only had $25 left to spend on a scorebug design.”

@no_offseason1: “What is fox doing with this scorebug. This is atrocious.”

@NFL_Memes: “The FOX’s scorebug looks like how old people have their iPhone set up”

@diidlake: “What 6 year old did Fox hire to make the scorebug? Maybe the worst of all-time”

The FOX broadcast also has plenty to assess as Tom Brady broadcasts his first Super Bowl after winning seven as a player.
