Wednesday was an exciting night for the Red Sox from the top to the bottom.
Boston reportedly reached a three-year, $120 million agreement with Alex Bregman. The reported agreement caught some by surprise, but it ended a months-long sweepstakes that four other teams reportedly were still in until Wednesday.
Fans and owners were excited about the reported deal. Co-owner Linda Pizzuti Henry posted a picture of her husband John Henry smoking a cigar on her Instagram story. The Red Sox owner seemingly took a victory lap after his franchise made a monumental move to boost their chances of winning the American League East in 2025.
The Instagram story got fans riled up and pumped for the upcoming season. Boston begins its full team workout at Fort Meyers, Fla., next week, so that likely will be when fans get a closer look at Bregman in a Red Sox uniform.
Boston’s first spring training game is scheduled for next Friday against Northeastern, and you can catch full coverage on NESN. You can also catch more analysis of the reported Bregman deal on “310 To Left” on NESN networks Thursday.
