1:30 p.m.: It feels like the same handful of teams are the ones wheeling and dealing, and that continued with a reported deal between the Hornets and Suns, per Yahoo’s Chris Haynes.

Charlotte acquires: Jusuf Nurkic, first-round pick
Phoenix acquires: Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic

11:30 a.m.: For the third time this month, P.J. Tucker has reportedly been traded. The 39-year-old big man is going to Toronto (for now) after the briefest of “stints” in Miami. The more prominent asset being moved in the deal is Davion Mitchell, who will join the Heat, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Tucker started the month with the Los Angeles Clippers where he had appeared in a grand total of … zero games this season. The Clippers then traded him to Utah on Feb. 1. The Jazz then used Tucker to help facilitate Wednesday night’s Warriors-Heat blockbuster involving Jimmy Butler. Roughly 12 hours later, he’s technically on his way to Toronto.

10:30 a.m.: Reggie Jackson, who is one of those players who seems to have his name come up in rumors every year, is reportedly on the move.

Veteran insider Marc Stein says the 76ers and Warriors have a deal in place that will send Jackson to D.C., with Jared Butler going to Philly.

Wizards acquire: Reggie Jackson, future first-round pick
Sixers acquire: Jared Butler, four second-round picks

9:30 a.m.: Just getting caught up with some reporting that came late Wednesday night regarding Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal and everything they touch: Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported on NBA TV that Durant almost certainly won’t be moved Thursday.

There’s no shortage of moving pieces, though. According to Haynes, the Suns looked to trade Beal, who might have the “worst” contract in the league. That deal includes a no-trade clause, and according to the reporting, Beal would only waive the NTC if he could go somewhere warm (must be nice).

Haynes also said there were talks between the Heat and Suns about Miami sending Butler to Phoenix for Durant, but Phoenix understandably wasn’t willing to do a one-for-one. Miami didn’t have the assets to get that done. Now, Phoenix is apparently inclined to believe it can make a second-half push … with Durant and Beal.

“Doesn’t look that way. Kevin Durant’s not going anywhere. Bradley Beal for sure isn’t going anywhere,” Haynes said on NBA TV.

9 a.m. ET: NBA trade deadline day is here, and hopefully there’s still some TNT left in the fireworks factory.

While the buzzer won’t sound until Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET, we’ve already seen two major blockbusters go down in the week leading up to the deadline. The Dallas Mavericks shocked the world by trading Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis over the weekend. Then, on Wednesday night, the Miami Heat finally resolved their Jimmy Butler problem, reportedly shipping the talented but mercurial swingman to the Golden State Warriors.

There has been plenty of chatter from insiders about how the Doncic deal in particular could open some unprecedented floodgates; essentially, if Doncic can be traded, just about anyone can get moved. One especially prevalent name is Kevin Durant, but ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday night that Durant didn’t want to leave Phoenix, at least not to rejoin Golden State. Could he have a change of heart before 3 p.m., or is he in the desert to stay?

We’ll be watching that and anything else that pops off Thursday, so be sure to keep it right here for all the latest news and rumors.
