Look, we all know the Super Bowl is the crowning achievement in professional football, but if you want a top-shelf big experience, you must find the right recipes for success.
Quite literally.
This year’s Super Bowl matchup has all the makings of another classic, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles battling in New Orleans. But the Super Bowl transcends football. It’s about more than 60 minutes of pigskin. Much more goes into making it an experience, and food is the No. 1 thing you must have to do it right.
The key to good food is the right recipe, and that’s more important than ever on Super Bowl Sunday.
So, with that said, here are some of NESN.com’s favorite recipes:

Mike Cole, NESN.com Senior Editor: Smoked Brisket
While I think the key to a successful Super Bowl spread is variety — seeing a row of Crockpots on a counter walking in the door to a party brings a tear to the eye — few things get me more excited for the all-day experience like smoking some meats. You can’t go wrong with ribs here, either, but for me, I’ve got the brisket circled, especially for a smaller get-together (don’t have to make as much, you get leftovers, etc.). The only drawback with brisket is the time involved, and there’s nothing worse than rushing to make sure the meat is done as kickoff rapidly approaches. Start early, take your time, and use the process to have some cold pops, get your bets in, etc.
I don’t have my own recipe, but Sam The Cooking Guy is my go-to for this and a whole lot of other stuff. Highly recommended.
Keagan Stiefel, NESN.com writer: Buffalo Chicken Croissants
I’ve never been more excited to contribute to a story. … Yes, this is both genius and easy, you’re welcome.

2. Unroll crescent rolls. Spoon chicken mixture into each triangle. Tightly roll into croissant shapes, pinch sides together and arrange in prepared pan.
3. In a small bowl, mix butter and ranch seasoning. Brush over dough.
4. Bake biscuits until just beginning to turn golden brown, 15 minutes. Brush with ranch butter again and continue to bake until toasted and golden brown, about 5 minutes more.

Mike Cole, NESN.com Senior Editor (again): Garlic parmesan chicken wings
Since smoking isn’t for everyone, and not everyone has a smoker (though you should), and because I’m the one writing this story, I’m allowing myself a second entry. If it’s your opinion you can’t have the Super Bowl without wings, you’ll get no argument here. Honestly, just go Google “chicken wings Super Bowl” or enter it into the Recipe Box app (another major recommendation), and you’ll find something to fit your fancy.
I think these garlic-parm wings in the air fryer (again, get one) are fantastic, though.

(There’s also a baked version for those who haven’t converted to the air fryer life yet.)
BONUS RECIPES
Trisha Yearwood’s cheese boat: The idea of a cheese boat is not only hilarious but saliva-inducing, and it kinda, sorta looks like a football.
Slow Cooker Little Smokies: Throw these in the slow cooker and be on your way. Nothing says Super Bowl party like showing up with a warm pot of cocktail sausages under your arm.
