There’s no love lost between the Bruins and Panthers, and that was on display Tuesday night at TD Garden.

Nikita Zadorov capped off a gutsy comeback win over Florida when he dropped the gloves with Florida pest Sam Bennett in the final seconds of the matchup. The Boston blueliner wrestled Bennett onto the ice and fired up his teammates and fans.

The fight called back to the Bruins’ season opener against the Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena. For fans who might not remember the tilt, the Atlantic Division rivals got into each other’s faces throughout the night. Despite being a newcomer, Zadorov got into Bennett’s face. However, the infamous Bruins villain wanted nothing of the imposing defenseman.

“Give me one (a fight). Come on, give me one Benny,” Zadorov said to Bennett in a clip from “Behind The B.” (The moment can be found at 9:06 in the embed below.)

Bennett did not drop the gloves back in October and simply asked Zadorov what he was doing before hilariously pointing out the Bruins D-man was “(expletive) 8 feet tall.”

Well, he had to wait five months, but Zadorov finally got his wish to fight Bennett.

Tuesday’s win moved Boston to 2-0 after the NHL trade deadline, and they’ll look to keep the momentum going in a pivotal matchup against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday.
