The Boston Red Sox have real expectations for Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kristian Campbell when they each reach the big leagues in 2025.
The “Big Three” prospect trio immersed themselves in the Boston clubhouse this spring as rostered players in big-league camp. They’ve each had standout moments to appeal to the Red Sox and make their cases to debut in 2025.
Campbell is likely to debut first, followed by Anthony and then Mayer. Nonetheless, they should all factor into Boston’s plans for the season in an effort to make the postseason for the first time since 2021.
The Red Sox prospects also made an impact when all three players homered in the MLB Spring Breakout Game showcase against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Prior to that outing, the trio spoke with NESN’s Tom Caron on life in big-league camp and their appreciation for that experience with the Red Sox on the “310 To Left” podcast.
