The New England Patriots drastically improved their offense with their selections in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL draft.
New England selected LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell with the No. 4 pick, Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson at No. 38, Washington State wide receiver Kyle Williams at No. 69 and Georgia interior offensive lineman Jared Wilson at No. 95 — all serving as additional support for the face of the franchise: Drake Maye.
Retired Patriots running back Damien Harris dropped a “bold take” on social media as Day 3 kicked off in Green Bay.
“Bold take: The New England Patriots are a playoff team after this draft!” he wrote on X.
Taking into account the group of free agents the Patriots signed in March, coupled with their draft picks, they could very well be a surprise playoff team in 2025.

With the upgrades across the roster, New England could win somewhere between 7 and 9 games this season. And the way things stand in the NFL currently, and specifically, in the AFC East, that means the Pats could be back in the playoff picture.
