NESN, New England’s premier sports network, on Monday announced that as part of its 2025 Boston Red Sox regular-season programming, it is producing a new seven-part original docuseries titled “The Mindset” that brings fans inside the mental aspects of the game.
The series premieres Wednesday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m. ET on NESN and NESN 360. Fans can also watch on NESN NATION, NESN’s new FAST channel, one day earlier on Tuesday, April 29 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
“The Mindset” offers an inside look at players’ mentality during defining moments of their careers. Each 30-minute episode features unfiltered, personal interviews with current Red Sox players, coaches, alumni, and NESN talent, including Alex Bregman, Alex Cora, Liam Hendriks, Jonathan Papelbon, Tom Caron, Lou Merloni, and Will Middlebrooks.
“As we introduce this series, we are excited to bring fans closer to the games, the teams, and the players they love,” said Josh Jun, VP of Content at NESN. “‘The Mindset’ captures the real, defining moments that happen beyond the field, and reveals what it truly takes to succeed at the highest level.”

“Alex Bregman” — April 30, 2025
In Episode 1, new Red Sox third baseman Bregman reflects on defining moments of his championship career, including World Series wins, an All-Star Game MVP performance and the expectations that come with playing in Boston.
“Alex Cora” — May 24, 2025
In Episode 2, Red Sox manager Alex Cora details the importance of building relationships, addresses the suspension that took him out of baseball, and shares his approach to the pressure of managing in Boston.
“Liam Hendriks” — June 28, 2025
In Episode 3, Red Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks shares his story of leaving Australia to chase his baseball dreams and his mental fortitude in battling back from a cancer diagnosis.
Subsequent episodes will feature Red Sox alumni and NESN broadcasters Lou Merloni, Jonathan Papelbon, and Will Middlebrooks, as well as NESN broadcaster Tom Caron.
