Jalen Ramsey might not be lining up against Patriots wide receivers two times per season, it seems.
The Miami Dolphins are planning to move on from the star cornerback, according to a report from NFL Media’s Cameron Wolfe. The development comes one month after colleague Ian Rapoport reported the two sides were set to explore trade options.
“This is a situation where relationships are hard, and the relationship between the Dolphins and Ramsey has essentially run out,” Wolfe said on NFL Network on Thursday. “For the Dolphins, they’re already planning to move on. They’re speaking in the past. He’s not going to be at OTAs, and for them, they’re planning on developing their young corners…”
Wolfe expects Ramsey to be traded sometime in June or July. Miami will save approximately $18 million against the cap if it holds off for a post-June 1 trade, per Wolfe.
“There’s interest, but right now there’s nothing imminent,” Wolfe said. “There’s nothing closing at this moment. It’s been relatively quiet.”

The Dolphins have talked to “a lot of teams.” Wolfe specifically mentioned the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers as a few teams that have coaches who have worked with Ramsey.
It’s no sure thing Ramsey won’t suit up for an AFC East squad, but he clearly won’t be doing so in South Beach.
