The Red Sox will look to keep building on recent momentum Friday, as they embark on a six-game road trip beginning with a matchup against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

Connor Wong’s insertion will be the lone change to the lineup.

Wong will be behind the dish, replacing Carlos Narvaez. Red Sox manager Alex Cora elected to keep everything else the same from a series-winning finale against the Texas Rangers, with Abraham Toro remaining at first base and Rafael Devers remaining as the designated hitter.

You know exactly why we mentioned that last part.

The Red Sox and Royals are scheduled to take the field at 7:40 p.m. ET. NESN will have full coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
