The Boston Red Sox caught a brutal break Tuesday night when starter Walker Buehler got ejected by home plate umpire Mike Estabrook for arguing balls and strikes.
Boston’s bullpen already tossed 4 1/3 innings Monday night against the New York Mets and now faced a daunting task to throw several more innings as a result Tuesday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora also got ejected for arguing the ball call from Estabrook.
The footage from the umpire camera on SNY’s Mets broadcast revealed the conversation between Buehler and Estabrook leading up to the ejection.

While Buehler argued about the location of the pitch, Estabrook yelled at the Red Sox starter to “get back on the mound” before the SNY broadcast cut away as profanities began to fly in the interaction.
