Jaylen Brown went under the knife but is expected to return before the regular season tips off.

The Boston Celtics on Wednesday announced Brown underwent a successful right knee arthroscopic debridement procedure, a minimally invasive surgery used to remove damaged tissue from inside the knee joint.

Brown is expected to participate in training camp without limitation, per the Celtics.

Brown posted a photo shortly after Boston released the statement, indicating he’s in good spirits post-surgery.

It will be a pivotal offseason for Brown and the Celtics, who will be without superstar Jayson Tatum for the majority of the 2025-26 campaign. Tatum ruptured his Achilles during a playoff game and his father hinted at a mid-February return.
