FOXBORO, Mass. — Adam Vinatieri is one step closer to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but two other Patriots legends are not so lucky.

Vinatieri on Saturday was announced as one of 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The selection committee may elect up to five modern-era players for the Class of 2025 with the inductees set to be announced on Feb. 6, 2025.

Former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison and defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, however, will have to wait at least one more year. Both Harrison and Wilfork were tabbed as semifinalists last month but were not included among the finalists.

Vinatieri is a four-time Super Bowl champion, winning three titles with New England.
