The Boston Celtics have won their past four games, and it’s clear this team is firing on all cylinders right now. No one has come to embody the team’s recent success more than Jordan Walsh, though, who appears to be making a star turn right in front of our eyes.
Just 23 games into the season, Walsh has gone from being a fringe rotation player to a key part of the team’s starting lineup. It’s taken a while for him to find his confidence, but now that he has, he is showing Boston what he is capable of.
That has been on full display in the C’s three most recent games, all of which have been wins. Walsh has been superb on both sides of the ball, but on offense, he has missed just one of his 19 shot attempts during that three-game stretch.
While Walsh missed three shots in the Celtics’ win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, which started their ongoing win streak, he recorded a double-double to make up for it. During the team’s four-game win streak, Walsh is averaging 15.3 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting a blistering 84.6% from the field.

With Jaylen Brown playing at an MVP-caliber level, and Derrick White and Payton Pritchard holding things down in the backcourt, Walsh’s development has helped Boston exceed expectations in the early part of the season.
No, he’s not going to hit every shot he takes, but if he can keep playing at this incredibly high level, the C’s could be a real postseason threat this year. The Celtics will look to win their fifth-straight game when they take on the Toronto Raptors at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
