Jordan Spieth nailed it.
Spieth showed after the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 that he doesn’t even need to be on the golf course to win on a Sunday. The world’s top-ranked golfer sent a congratulatory tweet aimed at Peyton Manning along with another tweet that was pure brilliance.
Manning, of course, was mum on the topic of retirement during his postgame interview Sunday, saying instead that he planned to drink a lot Budweiser to celebrate the Broncos’ Super Bowl win. Budweiser has since stated that Manning wasn’t paid for the impromptu plug.
Both Spieth and Manning clearly are inspirations to the big forehead community. It’s nice to see greatness recognizing greatness.
