Sebastian Vettel isn’t a big fan of champagne, but it was easy to forget what tastes good and what didn’t after the performance he and Scuderia Ferrari had to start the Formula One season.

Vettel dominated Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia, finishing 9.975 seconds ahead of Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Lewis Hamilton in P2, and 11.25 seconds in front of Valtteri Bottas in P3. After the race, The four-time Formula One world champion talked about Ferrari’s new car, and about the search for additional champagne bottles.

Ferrari and Mercedes looked to be about even in terms of pace Sunday, though Hamilton struggled with his tires throughout the race, allowing Vettel to come out of the pits in front after his first, and only stop.

Vettel didn’t put a foot out of line on his way to victory at Albert Park Circuit, earning the German the first Driver of the Day honors of the 2017 season.

Despite a 2-3 finish, Mercedes’ result in Australia is far from what they’re used to after three year’s of dominance. The team will be looking to come back strong and mount a challenge against Ferrari in the Chinese Grand Prix on April 9.
