Rick Nash is on the board.

The Boston Bruins right winger, who was acquired Sunday from the New York Rangers in a trade involvingĀ multiple players and draft picks, scored his first goal with his new team Tuesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Nash found himself behind all five Hurricanes players as the B’s gained puck possession, and linemate David Krejci found him for an easy goal. The veteran winger’s quick release beat ‘Canes goalie Scott Darling, and generated a huge roar from the TD Garden crowd.

The goal also was the 800th career point for Nash. HeĀ made his B’s debut Sunday in Buffalo against the Sabres.

Earlier in the first period, Nash stopped a goal with a remarkable goal-line save.
