As if fantasy owners needed another reason to look for a decent running back, it seems we’ll be without another due to injury in Week 7.

San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde is not expected to play this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after injuring his shoulder in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. Hyde told the Sacramento Bee that he injured the shoulder in the third quarter after being slammed into the turf.

“The guy drove me into the ground, and (I) landed on it pretty hard with all that weight,? Hyde told The Bee. “It’s definitely not long-term, which is good.”

San Francisco coach Chip Kelly backed up that notion, but doesn’t think Hyde will play Sunday.

“We?ll monitor him during the week but I think he?ll be a stretch to play this week,” Kelly said, via The Bee. “It?s a day-to-day thing. But he’s not going to go today and I would imagine if he?s not going to (practice) in the next couple of days, he?s not going to play on Sunday.”

Mike Davis appears to be the primary backup for Hyde over Shaun Draughn, and out-snapped Draughn 24-5 in Week 6 after Hyde’s injury. He has 10 rushes for 17 yards and two catches for 16 yards this season.
