NESN’s Gary Striewski showed the heart of a lion Saturday.

You see, Striewski fell victim to his wardrobe early in the Boston Red Sox’s game against the Seattle Mariners at Fenway Park when a foul ball steered in his direction took a nasty hop over his outstretched hand. He simply didn’t have enough flexibility in his slim fit shirt. It’s the cost of staying in shape.

But fear not. Striewski atoned for the mishap in the ninth inning by standing his ground against a flying bat that landed at his feet.

Slim fit or no slim fit, Striker was winning the war on a sunny afternoon at Fenway.
