Jeff Howe Expands Lead in NESN Bracket Challenge With Strong Showing in Third Round The bracket-busting is getting just about everyone.

As the NESN.com Bracket Challenge continues, the participants are just trying to survive, and some of them are in much better shape than others.

Patriots reporter Jeff Howe built on his second-round lead, with the highest score in the third round, scoring 20 points. What makes catching even more daunting for the rest of the field is that Jeff still has all of his Final Four picks remaining.

Heidi Watney also has all four of her Final Four teams left, as well, and she still has a chance to catch Jeff. For now, though, she’ll have to settle for second place with 41 total points.

Celtics reporter Evans Clinchy has his Final Four intact, as does Tom Caron, but the quest will be a little more difficult for Red Sox reporter Tony Lee, who took a big hit when Butler was able to knock off one of his Final Four picks (and eventual national champion) in No. 1 seed Pittsburgh in a crazy affair on Saturday night.
