About:
Following the successful unveiling last fall of our first playground in Roxbury, Mass, NESN is partnering with the City of Worcester, Jack Barry Little League, and the Make An Impact Foundation to build a playground in Worcester, MA. Located at Harrington Field, the playground is scheduled to open in spring 2025. NESN employees will be holding an event with children in the Worcester community, titled “Dream Day,” during which they will solicit ideas for elements within their new playground.
Play is so important to us at NESN, the broadcast home of the Red Sox and Bruins. Play is proven to improve cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of children and helps them learn about the world and themselves. It builds some of life’s most important skills – including confidence and what it takes to be a good teammate.
