Brad Marchand, Jaromir Jagr Among Best Stanley Cup Final Rookie Performances

The 2016 Stanley Cup Final began Monday night, and the Pittsburgh Penguins took Game 1 with a 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Penguins rookie forward Bryan Rust, who scored twice in Pittsburgh’s victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals, also netted the opening tally in Game 1 against the Sharks.

It was Rust’s sixth goal of the playoffs, and it got us thinking about the best Stanley Cup Final performances by rookies in the last 35 years.
