The Cavs needed to shake things up, as their roster prior to Thursday clearly wasn’t working. So, here’s what Cleveland did:
Traded: Isaiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert, Jae Crowder, Channing Frye
Acquired: Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, George Hill, Rodney Hood
It remains to be seen if these moves re-position the Cavs as the favorites in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, but they’re certainly better off now than they’ve been in recent weeks. Plus, Cleveland brought in some talented young players and kept the Brooklyn Nets’ 2018 first-round pick — potentially huge factors should LeBron James depart during the offseason.
