Every once in awhile, a fan at a baseball game will make headlines for coming up with a unique foul ball catch. Barehanders, leaping grabs, snagging it with a hat — you name it, and it’s probably been done before.

But accidentally catching a foul ball in a cup of beer like one particular fan at Fenway Park Tuesday night? That may have been a first.
