Dr. Jen Welter became the NFL’s first female coach when she began an internship with the Arizona Cardinals last year.

Welter’s experience, which she described as a “fantastic” one, was one of many topics she discussed with NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava on our latest NFL podcast. They also talked about the respect Welter received from Cardinals players, the path she has pioneered for other women such as Kathryn Smith, whom the Buffalo Bills hired last week, and much more.
