Man Arrested for Allegedly Providing McNair Murder Weapon

A convicted murderer was arrested in Tennessee Friday for allegedly selling the gun that was used to kill Steve McNair, the Associated Press reports.

Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., who was convicted of murder and attempted armed robbery in Florida in 1993, reportedly admitted that he sold a gun to Sahel Kazemi, the woman who police believe killed McNair before committing suicide.

The sale reportedly took place in the parking lot of a Dave & Busters restaurant, where Kazemi worked. She reportedly was trying to sell her car when she mentioned her desire to purchase a gun. The alleged sale took place two days before McNair’s death.

The arrest was made by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
