Peabody (Mass.) Scores 11 Runs in Second to Overpower Glastonbury (Conn.)

Following a six-run top of the second inning by Glastonbury (Conn.), things weren't looking great for Peabody (Mass.).

Then Peabody Western scored 11 times in the bottom of the frame on its way to winning 13-7. With the win, Peabody improved its tournament record to 4-0.

Matt Hosman drove in a team-high six runs, including two home runs.

Michael Petrosino entered the game in relief in the third inning and shut down the Glastonbury offense, pitching four innings without allowing a hit or a walk while striking out five batters.

The two teams will meet again on Thursday, with Peabody as the No. 1 seed and Glastonbury as the No. 4 seed. That game will take place at 5:30 p.m. and air on NESN.
