“It’s about fighters that come here,” said festival organizer Lisa Scherber. “And survivors that just want a day of fun.”
This year’s festival including rides, a petting zoo, go-karts, a climbing wall and games.
“It’s 2,000 people that are joining us today and that means 2,000 people that have come through the Jimmy Fund clinic doors,” said Scherber. “So it’s all patients and their families that have survived cancer or just been diagnosed two weeks ago.”
