Mattel Unveils Kim Clijsters Barbie Doll at Toy Fair in Germany

Female tennis star Maria Sharapova may have the looks, but Kim Clijsters has the Barbie doll made in her image.

Mattel has created Barbie dolls of Clijsters and her two-year-old daughter Jada.

"It's an honor to be looked at as a role model, but that doesn't mean I'm the perfect woman," Clijsters told Sky.com.

Clijsters was excited to learn that she and her daughter would be modeled after one of her childhood toys.

"When I was a young girl, I played with my Barbie dolls. … My family means everything to me, so I was really excited when I found out that Jada would also receive her very own 'Jada Barbie' doll," Clijsters told The Associated Press.

Mattel has made Barbie dolls of other inspirational women as well, including J.K. Rowling, Oprah Winfrey and German chancellor Angela Merkel. Senior vice president of Barbie International Rosa Zeegers believes the dolls can inspire anyone.

"Whether you are 4 years old or 70 years old, we all need aspirational role models in our lives," Zeegers told Sky.com.
