Nike Makes Black History Month Version of Air Force Ones

Fans anticipating the release of Nike's newest Air Force Ones should not be disappointed.

According to Hypebeast, Nike Sportswear has unveiled Air Force Ones in honor of Black History Month. The shoe's design honors the rise of black enterprise in the United States.

The shoes feature a combination of red, black and green, representing the colors of the African-American flag.

NBA players including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Rasheed Wallace wear custom Air Force Ones.

Cheyney University, the oldest black institution in the U.S., inspired the creation of the shoes. Nike will make a donation to the school as well.

Nike will release the Air Force Ones on Feb. 18 in the nation's top Nike outlets.
